The FRKPS is used to check the overload protection of chain hoists. The set consists of the force transducer with chain adapters and the hand-held indicator. For the testing, the force transducer is hung on the chain, moves upwards with the chain against the bottom of the chain hoist and thereby blocks the chain.
The force transducer is designed as a shear beam load cell and is therefore insensitive to parasictic forces and torques. The output signal is fed to the hand-held indicator via cable. Two chain adapters and three chain centring sleeves accompany the instrument to allow testing all chain hoists occurring in the specific load range.
The battery-operated model FE630 hand-held indicator evaluates the signals supplied by the force transducer with a very high sampling rate of 7,200 Hz. The hand-held indicator makes it easier to read the values directly.
